My Story

My name is Meredith Kimmel.

I am a certified professional coach who is passionate about helping people create their best lives and realize their dreams. I specialize in life transformations. As we all know, everyone experiences some type of trauma in their lives, whether it is an illness, divorce, loss, or death. We also all experience positive changes in our lives, whether it is a promotion, a new home, moving to a new city, a new relationship, or a new child. How we handle these life events is how we grow.

I am dedicated to helping people deal with their life transformations and create more fulfilling lives. What happens in our personal life directly impacts our professional life and what happens in our professional life directly impacts our personal life. We don’t leave our personal life in the parking lot when we get to work and we don’t leave our professional life in our driveway when we get home. The lines are blurred and that is where I come in. I have had my share of ups and downs and I have done and continue to do the work necessary to keep creating my best self. If I can do it, so can you.

Now, you may be wondering who is Meredith and what does she know? How can she help me? Let me answer these questions.

Who am I?

I am a native Floridian who grew up in a wonderful, loving family. I was never truly sure what my path was until a major life transformation happened to me. I graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, I achieved a Masters Degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University, and I earned a designation as a Certified Professional Coach from the University of Miami. I decided to take my professional development one step further, and I applied for and received ACC level accreditation from the International Coach Federation. I worked in both the legal and tax fields as a wealth management and taxation professional.

While my life was good, I always had a feeling in my gut that it could be better. I wasn’t sure how to improve my life and that was when my world was turned upside down. Sure, I had experienced the ending of friendships, the ending of relationships with boyfriends, and the loss of pets. I also experienced many positive changes, purchasing and moving into my own home, getting a higher paying job, and making new relationships. However, it was a traumatic event that paved the way for the journey that I am on now.

On a Wednesday afternoon, I received a phone call from my father telling me that my mother, the healthiest person I knew, was in the hospital. She passed away five weeks to the day of that phone call from an unexpected illness with her family by her side. Suddenly, in that moment, my world was completely shaken up and I changed. In fact, the whole family changed. The matriarch of the family was no longer around. Now, who was supposed to hold us together? Who was supposed to protect my dad and brother?

I realized that nothing would ever be the same again. I was a woman in my mid-30s who had just lost her mother, her role model, and her best friend. As a woman, I was now really on my own. The amount of support from friends, family, co-workers, and even strangers was absolutely amazing. I realized that I could not have gone through the grief and transition alone. Support at that time was essential and the support is still necessary.

In that short time, I learned so many lessons about life. I made discoveries about myself. I was tried, stretched, and tested in ways that I could have never imagined. Six months after my mother’s death, I left my corporate job and enrolled in the University of Miami to get the proper training to become a certified professional coach. Everything about my transformation felt right and I never looked back.

From this loss in my life, I left my job, went back to school, and started my own practice as a certified professional coach. I emerged victorious. I have found my success and realized my dreams. I work every day toward continued self-improvement. I am confident that I am making my mother proud.

From this experience and a lifetime of other experiences, I decided to take all of my knowledge and learnings and give back in any way that I could by helping others.

Please join me in Moving Forward With Meredith.
